Home Networking

Home networking usually consits of two or three computers wanting to share printers, internet and files. There is a simple solutions to this, pier-to pier network. Each computer must have a NIC (Network Interface Card) in order to connect the computers together. You can connect either by cable or wireless. Wireless obviousley creates less clutter as no cables are needed however the wireless can be a little tempremantal and is suseptable to interfearance whereas cable is a quicker more stable connection. Many people are also unaware that wireless is not very secure and the standard WEP key can be easily hacked in minutes with the correct software, WPA on the other hand is a true encrypted method of data transmision and is a lot more difficult to hack.
